The smoking system is classic with an interesting detail, obviously never used before by anyone else. I found it to be very functional and truly enjoyable when combined with the technical characteristics of titanium.
The ergonomic, comfortable grip facilitates insertion and extraction, and the extra external cooling (a great winning feature)
Completely new aesthetics and design
Reduced in size, but not in capacity
Same features as the Bud Of Titan (washable, neutral, no humidity in the bowl while smoking, greater control of heat development, elasticity of the smoke, no smoke memory, no break-in, no burning), but developed more closely to the classic smoke. This change will lead to a second small revolution, I'm sure, because the result was surprising.

- Will I be able to install my existing shanks and mouthpieces?
Of course, yes. The cover is "like the base of the Steel or Titan," with the same screw-on dimensions, so they're 100% compatible.
- Can I wash the Titan Bastard ?
Obviously, hot water, paper towels, a little mouthwash, or something else, and it'll be as good as new.
- Do the base's O-rings wear out?
I've smoked the first Bastarda head about 80 times, tortured it, and pushed it to the most absurd limits I could (I avoided hammering it, but maybe even tolerated that), and the O-rings haven't suffered a thing. Just like with the Bud of Titan, I've never changed them. Replacement ones will obviously be included.
- Will the smoke be "hot"?
Since it doesn't have the Calabash system and therefore the cooling chamber, I'd say it's slightly hotter than the Bud of Titan, but it doesn't have the annoying peaks like other classic models that "retain heat."
Its smoke is the exact aromatic balance of a Bud of Titan and Briar Fusion, with all the benefits of both elements. It's definitely worth trying at least once in your life.
Smoking in Titanium is "Harmful"
Smoking is harmful, and it's best to avoid it, but compared to materials like wood, steel, and titanium, I'd say it's less harmful to smoke in these two high-quality metals. After all, smoking is like cooking; you don't cook anything in wood.

No, absolutely not, but let's avoid sticking your finger in the embers, which is never good for you.
- Why don't you make wood covers?
I know, it may seem like my innovative pipe production is "against" tradition because I use little to no wood with titanium or stainless steel, but my work and my pipes have characteristics that most of the time can't be associated with materials like wood because it doesn't have the technical characteristics I desire.
It's a bit like it has "technical defects" that make it unusable for my purposes.
If something "beautiful" is unusable, I don't use it.
- Can I add optional 9 mm filter?
Yes, of course (I already answered "maybe").
- How much does it take up? Is it easy to carry around?
Absolutely! Once disassembled and cleaned, it doesn't stink and fits in your pocket or wherever you want to store it for your utmost convenience. Most importantly, it doesn't crack or scratch like other wooden pipes.
- But what's it like to smoke pure?
It should be emphasized that there are two criteria for pure smoking: the first is that of the head and bowl, where the tobacco burns; the second is that of the residue left in the shank and mouthpiece. The union of these two pure elements, because the "dirt" is superficial and not absorbed, generates total purity for a pipe, which translated into flavor and taste is "a fairytale"! Forgive me the comparison, it's like smoking with a clean mouth or a dirty mouth; everyone has their own preferences, but while the dirty can never be truly clean, the clean can be like the dirty, which is essentially an additional possibility.

PEEK is an amazing material, but also incredibly expensive, and this model was also designed to "cut" those fixed-point pipes, so it will be more competitive and smaller than the Bud of Titan.
I'd also like to point out that with a New Titan Bastard, you can smoke 1,000 different tobaccos, in countless different

The distracted flame!! It's a bit like when you light a pipe and it's windy and the flame hits the rim. Wood gets burned, turns black, forms a crust, and gets dirty. This problem never happens with titanium. It might happen with a Delrin cover, but with a little care, it never happens. Or, at worst, you can get a new replacement cover, even if it's just a different color.
