Now, for something completely different: The Job Pipe Bud of Titania. Simone graciously sent me this for my opinions on the smoking characteristics. I have a lot to say (go figure), and it will come over time, but here are some of my necessarily brief first-impressions.

As a pipe traditionalist, I was of course skeptical. Can a metal pipe offer a good smoke, especially when we’re accustomed to the more conventional materials of briar, meerschaum, even clay? Each of those materials possesses its own characteristics, both adding something to the flavor of the tobacco (yes, even clay), and ideally attenuating harsher notes, while also holding on to memories of tobaccos past, not always an advantage.

The titanium bowl, on the other hand, presents a pure, neutral smoke, articulately expressing every nuance of the tobacco’s flavor. With the virginias I’ve been smoking in it, it’s been very pleasant, amplifying the more subtle characteristics of the tobaccos and even enhancing their sweetness without adding harshness. I suspect that last part is a result of the cooling fins that draw heat away from the bowl, keeping the chamber temperature down. I haven’t tried it with Latakia mixtures yet, but that’ll happen soon.

Simone is very passionate about his work, and has spent years developing his ideas. Everything has been carefully thought out. The bowls (there are several styles) fit the base with replaceable o-rings. The shank/stem can be exchanged with a selection of straight ones or the pictured “scorpion,” and there’s even a 9mm filter version available. The result? It works. And, the pipe can be disassembled and easily and completely cleaned when the time comes.

This isn’t meant to be a replacement for traditional pipes, but something that offers the curious smoker another dimension to the smoking experience, and over the time I’ve had it, it’s certainly done that. I’ve really enjoyed it, and look forward to exploring it with many different blends. Stay tuned…

GL PEASE 
Ora, per qualcosa di completamente diverso: The Job Pipe Bud di Titania. Simone mi ha gentilmente inviato questo per avere i miei pareri sulle caratteristiche del fumo. Ho molto da dire (vai a capire), e arriverà col tempo, ma ecco alcune delle mie prime impressioni, necessariamente brevi.

Essendo un tradizionalista della pipa, ero ovviamente scettico. Può una pipa di metallo offrire una buona fumata, soprattutto quando siamo abituati ai materiali più convenzionali come la radica, la schiuma e perfino l'argilla? Ognuno di questi materiali possiede le proprie caratteristiche, sia aggiungendo qualcosa al sapore del tabacco (sì, anche l'argilla), sia idealmente attenuando le note più aspre, mantenendo anche i ricordi dei tabacchi passati, non sempre un vantaggio.

Il braciere in titanio, invece, presenta un fumo puro e neutro, esprimendo in modo articolato ogni sfumatura del sapore del tabacco. Con i Virginia che ho fumato è stato molto piacevole, amplificando le caratteristiche più sottili dei tabacchi e addirittura esaltandone la dolcezza senza aggiungere asprezza. Sospetto che l'ultima parte sia il risultato delle alette di raffreddamento che allontanano il calore dalla ciotola, mantenendo bassa la temperatura della camera. Non l'ho ancora provato con le miscele Latakia, ma lo farò presto.

Simone è molto appassionato del suo lavoro e ha trascorso anni a sviluppare le sue idee. Tutto è stato attentamente pensato. Le ciotole (ne esistono diversi stili) si adattano alla base con o-ring sostituibili. Il gambo/stelo può essere sostituito con una selezione di quelli dritti o con lo "scorpione" raffigurato, ed è disponibile anche una versione con filtro da 9 mm. Il risultato? Funziona. Inoltre, il tubo può essere smontato e pulito facilmente e completamente quando arriva il momento.

Questa non vuole essere una sostituzione delle pipe tradizionali, ma qualcosa che offra al fumatore curioso un'altra dimensione dell'esperienza del fumo, e nel tempo che l'ho provata, lo ha sicuramente fatto. Mi è davvero piaciuto e non vedo l'ora di esplorarlo con molte miscele diverse. Rimani sintonizzato…

Titania è una "Apple" di ultima generazione con accorgimenti tecnici strutturali di altissimi pregi e fattura. La progettazione di questo braciere ha richiesto molte ore di lavoro e di prove di fumata. Non è stato semplice raggiungere questo livello di finitura estetico-tecnico , oltre alla effettiva qualità delle sue fumate.

Caratteristiche Tecniche di fumata
La resa in fumata di Titania è di altissima qualità, questo perchè oltre ad essere in Puro Titanio e quindi non contaminare in alcun modo il tabacco che brucia, riesce a far emergere tutta la sua aromaticità e rotondità, aggiungendo profondità dei sapori.
Titania riesce a bruciare anche gli olii essenziali, i più ricchi e intensi di sapori e ve ne accorgerete quando a fine fumata andrete a pulirla (è incredibile, giuro)
Il caricamento migliore forse si ottiene con il classico 3 step 
Sul Fondo tabacco Lasco, per poi, salendo, pressare un po' di più
Il Foro di aspirazione centrale è stato implementato con l'aggiunta di n° 3 fori extra da circa 2 mm di diametro ciascuno e consentono un flusso aperto, aggraziato e semplice.
Titania mantiene la temperatura di combustione del tabacco in una maniera ottimale e con una sua fumata regolare tranquilla, lenta e serena , le sue alette esterno resteranno di una temperatura bassa.
Aumentando i tiri della fumata, oltre che alle sfumature preziose del tabacco, avverrà quel processo chiamato "termodinamica" di Dissipazione del calore stesso della fumata.
Il Calore quindi verrà spostato esternamente in una maniera facilmente percepibile dalla mano , questo aumento sarà proporzionato in base ai vostri tiri , come se la pipa stessa vi avvisasse che state "scaldando la fumata", o "state tirando troppo velocemente". 
In Pratica vi accorgerete molto bene e in una maniera sensibile del ritmo e temperatura del tabacco che sta bruciano, ma tranquilli, i sapori difficilmente saranno amari a meno che non stiate esagerando con i tiri impulsivi.
E qui viene il bello, perchè qualora la vostra fumata sia diventata caldissima (fumando una pipa può succedere) , basta regolare e rallentare il tiro e , oltre ad avere lo stesso ottimi sapori , la struttura tecnica di Titania porterà gradualmente la fumata ad essere più fresca.
Il Mio Consiglio più grande è quello che riguarda i meno esperti o i Neo Fumatori di Pipa, è un Consiglio Generale che riguarda il mondo della Pipa :
"SE LA PIPA INIZIA A SCALDARSI TROPPO, Primo rallentare la fumata e aspettare che le alette di Titania dissipino il calore di troppo, ma siccome sarà ancora una buona fumata (perchè Titania è speciale), potete al limite impugnarla dalla Base.

DE : Technische Eigenschaften des Rauchens

Die Räucherleistung von Titania ist von höchster Qualität, da es nicht nur aus reinem Titan besteht und daher den brennenden Tabak in keiner Weise verunreinigt, sondern auch seine ganze Aromatik und Rundheit zur Geltung bringt und den Aromen Tiefe verleiht. 

Titania schafft es auch, die ätherischen Öle zu verbrennen, die reichhaltigsten und intensivsten im Geschmack, und Sie werden es merken, wenn Sie am Ende des Rauchens gehen, um es zu reinigen (es ist unglaublich, ich schwöre). 

Die beste Ladung wird vielleicht mit der klassischen 3 erreicht Treten Sie auf den Lasco-Tabakboden und drücken Sie dann, wenn Sie nach oben gehen, noch etwas mehr. Das zentrale Saugloch wurde durch die Hinzufügung von 3 zusätzlichen Löchern mit jeweils ca. 2 mm Durchmesser ergänzt und ermöglicht einen offenen, eleganten und einfachen Durchfluss. 

Titania Hält die Verbrennungstemperatur des Tabaks auf optimale Weise aufrecht und sorgt für einen ruhigen, langsamen und gleichmäßigen Rauch, wobei die Außenlamellen auf einer niedrigen Temperatur bleiben. 

Durch die Erhöhung der Rauchwolken, zusätzlich zu den kostbaren Nuancen des Tabaks, Der als „Thermodynamik“ bezeichnete Prozess der Wärmeableitung findet genauso statt wie beim Rauch.
Die Wärme wird daher auf eine Weise nach außen transportiert, die leicht mit der Hand wahrnehmbar ist.
Dieser Anstieg erfolgt proportional zu Ihren Zügen, als ob die Pfeife selbst wäre hat Sie gewarnt, dass Sie „den Rauch erhitzen“ oder „zu schnell paffen“.
In der Praxis werden Sie den Rhythmus und die Temperatur des brennenden Tabaks sehr gut und empfindlich wahrnehmen, aber keine Sorge, die Aromen werden kaum bitter, es sei denn, Sie übertreiben mit impulsiven Zügen.
Und hier kommt das Beste: Denn wenn Ihr Rauchgut sehr heiß geworden ist (das kann beim Pfeifenrauchen passieren), passen Sie einfach den Zug an und verlangsamen Sie es.
Neben den gleichen hervorragenden Aromen sorgt die technische Struktur von Titania dafür, dass der Rauch allmählich kühler wird.

Mein größter Tipp ist für weniger erfahrene oder unerfahrene Pfeifenraucher. Es gibt einen allgemeinen Ratschlag, der auch für die Welt der Pfeifen gilt: „Wenn die Pfeife zu heiß wird, gehen Sie zunächst langsam vor und warten Sie vielleicht ein oder zwei Minuten, bis die Titania-Lamellen von der überschüssigen Hitze abgekühlt sind, oder halten Sie Titania in der Basis.“
